Dear Parent/Guardian,
As the first semester comes to a close, it’s time to make you aware of our first-trimester community-building trip. All students are eligible to go on this trip.
You may be aware that each fall, the students complete a survey of what trips they’d
like for the year. This fall, they went in a different direction than in the recent past and
voted to see a movie. We plan to leave CMS at 9:30 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday,
November 21st, and travel by bus to Claremont Cinema 6. We’re showing two separate movies; one for the fifth and sixth graders, and another for the seventh and eighth graders.
For lunch this day, students may either bring a bagged lunch (no glass bottles please) or buy a bagged lunch from the cafeteria (at their usual rate). Either way, they will bring their
lunch along with them and eat at the theater. We will also buy each student a drink and a popcorn. The concession stand is open for students if they choose to buy something there.
The cost for admission, popcorn and drink, and transportation for this trip are being covered entirely through fundraising efforts. If students wish to buy food from the concession stand, they need to bring their own money. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school office at 826-7711.
In closing, the staff of CMS would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for
their continued support. We are immensely proud of our school and our students, and
know how important a role parents play in the school’s success and continued progress!
